Antique print, titled: ‘La Hollande in 12 Feuilles.’ – The title sheet to the large wall map. It shows a large cartouche bearing the title, a sheet division for the northern part of the Netherlands, and one of the Wadden islands: Vlieland. This print originates from: The map originates from: ‘La Hollande en 12 feuilles dont les six premieres contiennent La Hollande septentrionale ou la partie septentrionale, du comte de Hollande, le Texel, la Frise, Groningue, Drente, et partie de l’Over-Yssel’, published in Paris by Jean A. Dezauche, successeur des Srs. Delisle et Buache, 1790. Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘George Louis le Rouge’. G. L. le Rouge (1707-1790) was a French military engineer, hydrographer and cartographer. He produced a wide rang of attractive cartographic work. He held a position of Geographical Engineer to King Louis XV.

Condition: Good, given age. A horizontal fold in the middle of the sheet. Creasing around the middle fold. Left and right margins faintly browned. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
