BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Trattato sulla Scherma (Treatise on Fencing), Milan, printed by Ranieri Fanfani, 1837.

Biography engraver: Giuseppe Rados (1799-1869), Italian engraver from Reggio Emilia, active in Milan. Known for his delicate stipple work, especially on fencing plates.
