‘GEEN GRAFSCHRIFT OP DEES ZERK!-NEEN DICHTERS (?.) ‘NEERLANDS FREDERIK”
This print shows a portrait and tomb of William George Frederik of Orange Nassau (1774-1799) . Youngest son of prince William V en Wilhelmina from Prussia. His brother was Willem I. On the 12th of September 1793 in the battle of Wervik, he was wounded by a bullet. He never recovered and was reburied in Delft. We see a skull above his portrait. The battle below. A weeping man and woman holding a cloth with a poem made by BWJ.
