Biography engraver: Charles Henry Jeens (1827-1879) was an English engraver. He was taught engraving from John Brain and William Greatbach. His early career was spent engraving stamps for the British colonies. He supplied plates for The Royal Gallery of Art and The Art Journal. George Lance (1802-1864) was an English painter of still life and portrait miniatures.
