Original antique print showing a portrait of Simon Episcopius (1583 – 1643), a Dutch theologian and Remonstrant who played a significant role at the Synod of Dort in 1618. His name is the Latinized form of his Dutch name Simon Bisschop. With a 6-line allegorical poem by C.D. Wittenoom.

Condition: fair, given age. Paper loss bottom left margin and original fold lines from binding. Damp staining top right. Some browning in image, which we can remove on request. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
