‘”SAC DE LA VILLE DE L?ASSOMPTION.” / “LITH. PRODHOMME, 3 PL. DU DOYENNE.”‘

– Dramatic historical scene depicting the sack of the city of La Asuncion. A Jesuit or missionary figure gestures while violence unfolds around him; a woman lies dead with a child beside her while soldiers and townspeople clash in the background.
