Made by Richard Earlom after Anthony van Dyck.

Medium: Mezzotint engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 14.5 x 20.8 cm (5.71 x 8.19 inch). Image size: 10.2 x 15 cm. (4.02 x 5.91 inch).

Condition: good, given age. A few small spots. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Published in London by S. Woodburn, dated 1810.

Biography engraver: Richard Earlom (1743-1822) was an reknown English mezzotint engraver. He displayed great skill as a draughtsman, and at the same time acquired without assistance the art of engraving in mezzotint.
