Plate 57: ‘Een oud man maakt een dood kind weder levendig’ (An old man revives a dead child). This original engraving originates from ‘Tafereelen der eerste Christenen, bestaande in 92 konstprenten’ (Scenes of the first Christians, in 92 prints). This book was published in 1740 in Amsterdam by Gerrity de Groot and Jacobus Rijkhof. The prints by Luyken are accompanied by texts by P. Langendyk and C. Condition: Very good, given age. Paper repair to the lower margin Original middle fold. Some general age-related toning and thumbing, please study scan carefully.
