Original antique print, titled: ‘Pyramus’. It shows: Pyramus (from the Ovidian myth of Pyramus and Thisbe) stabbing himself in the chest with a sword. He is here dressed as a Napoleonic officer. Exact source unknown. Published by A. Stadlmair in the second half 19th century.Artists and Engravers: This print by W. Mayr. We have been unable to trace this artist.
Condition: Fair, given age. Sheet a little browned and with numerous small creases. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully, as it accurately reflects the condition of the print.
