Antique print, titled: ‘Parri Spinelli Pittore Aretino.’ – A portrait of Parri Spinelli (ca. 1387–1453), an Italian (Tuscan) painter of the early renaissance who was born in the Province of Arezzo. The image actually consists of two engravings: the portrait proper and the decorated border. Both are printed from separate plates. Originally made for Giorgio Vasari’s “Le vite de’ piu eccellenti pittori, scultori, architettori”, first published 1550. Condition: Good, given age. Small stains in margin. Creasing in the lower edge of the sheet. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
