– A finely engraved 17th-century portrait of Margaret of Austria (1480-1530) was the Duchess of Savoy and a powerful regent of the Habsburg Netherlands. Daughter of Emperor Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy, she played a significant diplomatic role in European politics. This print was part of Historia de la vida y hechos del emperador Carlos V (1681) by Prudencio de Sandoval, published in Antwerp by Geronymo Verdussen.
