Antique print, titled: ”Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck.” – Portrait of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck. Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck (1562-1621) was a Dutch composer, organist, and pedagogue at the end of the Renaissance and beginning of the Baroque eras. Source unknown, to be determined.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘W. Steelink’ after an anonymous artist. Willem Steelink, Jr. (Amsterdam, 1856-1928, Voorburg) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist, associated with the Laren School. He was inspired by the work of Mauve. Steelink made a large group of reproductive etchings after paintings. Simon van den Berg (1812-1891) was active as a painter of landscapes and animals. He worked in rotterdam and Heemstede.
Condition: Very good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
