Description
Portrait of Caspar (or Gaspar) Netscher (1639-1684) was a Dutch portrait and genre painter. He was a master in depicting oriental rugs, silk and brocade and introduced an international style to the Northern Netherlands.

Biography engraver: Franz Seraph Hanfstaengl (1804-1877) was a Bavarian painter, lithographer and photographer. He originates from a commoner family but was recommended for the drawing-class of his school at Munich. His main accomplishment is a series of ca. 200 lithographic reproductions of works in the Dresden gallery.
