Condition: very good, given age. Some light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Author: Francois Pierre Chaumeton (1775-1819) was assisted in this work by J. Chambaret and J. Poiret. Pierre-Jean-Francois Turpin (1775-1840) is considered by many as the greatest French botanical painter of his time. His drawings of botanical details have rarely been surpassed. He co-operated and was inspired by the botanical painter Poiteau (1776-1854). Turpin and Panckoucke were was students of the famous Redoute.
