A Northern Goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) pursuing a pigeon. The hawk has no falconry equipment on it’s legs and is thus is a wild bird, not a falconer’s bird. The prints shows the attack of a wild goshawk on a pigeon and the man with the gun is the pigeon’s protector (owner) who will shoot the hawk, and not a falconer, who rarely carry guns. Condition: Excellent. General age related toning and light staining. Remains of tape from previous binding on rear. Small holes in left margin from binding. Carefully study our quality scan as this gives a good impression of the condition.
