Original antique map of the Persian Empire. The map covers modern-day Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and part of the coast of Arabia, labeled Bahrem onder Persie.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Isaak Tirion.
Medium: Engraving / etching with orignal old hand colouring on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 55.5 x 43 cm (21.85 x 16.93 inch). Image size: 36.5 x 29 cm. (14.37 x 11.42 inch).
Condition: very good, given age. Minor tears in upper margin repaired. Pinhole in plate. A few minor foxing spots. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Published in The Netherlands by Isaak Tirion c. 1750. .
Biography artist: Isaak Tirion, a Dutch publisher in Amsterdam, was born 1705. He produced serveral Atlases and Dutch town plans. The maps mainly based on those of Guillaume de l’Isle. He died in 1765.
