Made by an anonymous engraver after de Bruijn.
Medium: Engraving / etching on handlaid (verge) paper.

Condition: very good, given age. Brownish edges. . General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This print is published in: ‘Reizen van Cornelis de Bruyn door de vermaardste Deelen van Klein Asia (…)’, 1698. Cornelis de Bruijn or Cornelis de Bruyn (The Hague, 1652 – 1727) was a Dutch painter, traveller and writer. He made two major voyages (1674-1693 and 1701-1708) and published an illustrated book after his first voyage. It was the first book with engraved prints in colour printing in the world.
