Etching with original hand colouring on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: Coat of arms with French lily and letters GR below..
Sheet size: 35,5 x 53 cm. (14 x 20,9 inch). Image size: 29,5 x 44,5 cm. (11,6 x 17,5 inch).

This attractive print was published in England. Descriptions by George Shaw (1751-1813). Possibly originally from: Cimelia Physica, Figures of Rare and Curious Quadrupeds,Birds,etc.Together with Several of the most Elegant Plants. 60 hand-coloured engraved plates. London. T.Bensley for Benjamin and John White 1796.

Made by ‘John Frederick Miller ‘ after own design. John Frederick Miller (1715-1790).

Condition: Good, given age. Wrinkled paper in the right margin and below, fold in the lowerright corner, brownish edges, small tear in right margin restored. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
