Antique print, titled: ‘Fam. Loridae.’ – Different kinds of small lori parrots. One of 43 plates from: ‘Genera Avium.’, edited by P. Wytsman, published in Brussels, 1905-1914. This work, containing contributions by leading European ornitologists, was published in installments from time to time and never finished due to the death of the autor / editor. Ref: Zimmer (p. 695-697).Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘P. Wytsman’. Author / editor: Philogene Auguste Galilee Wytsman (1866-1925) was a Belgian ornithologist, entomologist and publisher most noted for his serial publications Genera Avium and Genera Insectorum. Plates after paintings by Keulemans, Gronvold and others.

Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins, some traces of use and foxing. Top and lower edges a little warped (from moisture). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
