This print shows a view of the village Oosterlittens, near Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands. We see the houses and everyday life in the streets, working man and women, a man with pigs, horses and carriage.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This scarse plate originates from: ‘ Vaderlandsche gezichten of afbeeldingen, behoorende tot den Tegenwoordigen staat der Vereenigde Nederlanden, in den jaare 1786 (tot 1792) naar ‘t leven getekend door J. Bulthuis (later: J. Gardiner Visscher naar J.B.) en in ‘t koper gedruckt door K.F. Bendorp.) Amsterdam, H. Gartman (1786-1792).
Biography engraver: Carel Frederik Bendorp I (1736-1814) was a Dutch painter, draughtsman and etcher from Sas van Gent. He was active in Dordrecht and studied under Hendrik Kobell, Dirk Langendijk and Wouter Uiterlimmige.
