Made by Balthasar Moncornet after Robert Walker. Balthasar Moncornet (c.1600-1668) was a French painter, engraver and print dealer. He is an interesting and talented, but under-appreciated engraver. He is the father of Jean Moncornet. Robert Walker (1599–1658) was an English portrait painter, notable for his portraits of the “Lord Protector” Oliver Cromwell
