Subject: Antique print, titled: ”Drie Dansende Baadsters.” – (“Three dancing bathers”). Three nude women dancing in a circle.
Condition: Very good, given age. Tiny remains of attachment to matting in the top left and right corners. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Drypoint etching on plastic on wove (vellin) paper.

Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Dick van Luyn’ after own design. Dirk Govert (Dick) van Luyn (1896-1981) was a Dutch artist born in Utrecht. He was active as a painter and graphic artist. In the 1920’s he made woodcuts, and started etching in the 1930’s. He was an active member of the board of ‘De Grafische’ and ‘Utrechtse Kring’, two art circles in Utrecht.
