Plate 69: ‘Noble Siennoise, XIVe Siecle.’ (Noble woman from Siena, 14th century). This delicate original antique print originates from ‘Costumes Historiques des XIIe, XIIIe, XIVe, et XVI siecles’ by Camille Bonnard published in Paris by A. Levy Fils 1860. This work was later continued by later continued by Duplessis ( 16th to 18th century). The images in these works have often served as examples after which theater and movie costumes were modelled.Artists and Engravers:
