Part Quadrupeds. Unnumbered plate titled: Class Mammalia, Order Primates, Genus Lemur/Galeopithecus. It shows: 1. L. Podje (Tarsier), 2. L. Ecaudatus (Tailless Maucaueo), 3. L. Murinus (Murine Lemur), 4. L. Catta (Ring-Tail Maucaueo), 5. L. Tardigradus (Loris), 6. L. Velanus (Flying Lemur). This original antique print originates from Rees’ ‘The Cyclopaedia. or, Universal Dictionary opf Arts, Sciences and Literature’. This important 19th-century encyclopedic work was published in serialized form from 1802 to 1820. Condition: Very good, given age, small tear in the left margin. General age-related toning and mild foxing. Please study scan carefully.
