Part Entomology. Plate XV, order Coleoptera titled: Genus Carabus. It shows: 1. C. 6 maculatus, 2. C. sycophanta, 3. C. punctatus, 4. C. auronitens, 5. C. arenarius, 6. C. granulatus, 7. C. thoracicus, 8. C. 2 maculatus, 9. C. germanus, 10. C. prasinus, 11. C. crux minor, 12. C. semipunctatus. This original antique print originates from Rees’ ‘The Cyclopaedia. or, Universal Dictionary opf Arts, Sciences and Literature’. This important 19th-century encyclopedic work was published in serialized form from 1802 to 1820. Condition: Very good, given age, small stains in the left margin (not afecting image). General age-related toning and mild foxing. Please study scan carefully.
