Part Entomology. Plate XI, order Hymenoptera titled: Genus Cynips, g. Tenthredo, g. Ichneumon, g. Sphex. It shows: 1. C. Quereus folii, 2. [�] bimaculata, 3. [�] femorata, 4. [�] falcicornis, 5. [�] gigas, 6. S. juveneus, 7. S. lobata, 8. I. flavicornis, 9. I. persuasorius. This original antique print originates from Rees’ ‘The Cyclopaedia. or, Universal Dictionary opf Arts, Sciences and Literature’. This important 19th-century encyclopedic work was published in serialized form from 1802 to 1820. Condition: Very good, given age, left margin cropped short (loss of text). General age-related toning and mild foxing. Please study scan carefully.
