Antique print, titled: ‘Mooi Holland – Volendam.’ – (‘Beautiful Holland – Volendam’). A Dutch landscape with a man in Volendam costume carrying two baskets away from a windmill. Source unknown, to be determined. Signed, numbered (27/50) and titled in pencil below the image. Printed on the rear of the sheet, signed on the front.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Jac de Beer’ after own design. Jac de Beer (active 1900-1950) was a Frisian artist and graphic artist based in Sneek in the first half of the 20th century. The Fries Scheepvaartmuseum (Frisian Naval Museum) has a small but interesting collection of his woodcuts.
Condition: Excellent, given age. Right sheet edge uneven and with small stains. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
