Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 15 x 26,9 cm. (5,9 x 10,6 inch). Image size: 14,9 x 26,8 cm. (5,9 x 10,6 inch).

Similar to a series of 12 months by Peter Lambeck (1628-1680) titled ‘Ausonii Tetrastichon’ (12 Months of the Year).

Made by Tob. Sadler after an anonymous artist. Tobias Sadeler (1641-1679) was a Flemish engraver and active in Prague and Vienna.

Condition: Good, given age. Attached to carrier. Trimmed close to the image. Small tear at top right. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
