Biography engraver: Jean-Baptiste van der Sypen was a 19th-century Belgian engraver and student of Calamatta. He specialized in portraits and historical reproductions for illustrated biographical collections.
Biography artist: Jacob Jordaens (1593-1678) was a Flemish Baroque painter, known for his large-scale history paintings and portraits. He was a leading Antwerp artist alongside Rubens and Van Dyck.
