Boger in Dordrecht, The Netherlands.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘J.H. van der Heijden’ after ‘J. Rutten’. Johannes Hermanus v.d. Heijden (1825-1907) was a painter and lithographer from Dordrecht. He worked in Dordrecht, Haarlem and The Hague. He is mostly known as a respected lithographer. He specialized in portraits, genre scenes (particularly candlelight scenes), city views and landscapes.
Condition: Very good, given age. Several tears in left margin and right margin, all professionally refibered. In right margin and in tree, approx. 1,5 cm. in print, backed by contemporary paper and consolidated with acid free tape. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
