Plate 75.: Greek-Roman sculpture. This old antique print originates from “Signorum veterum icones” by Jan de Bisschop (Joh. Episcopius ), published in 1668. It is a collection of Roman sculptures. The plates in this work are engraved after his own drawings or after the drawings of DonckerArtists and Engravers: Jan de Bisschop (1628-1671)was widely influential in art and art publishing. A lawyer by profession, he set up practice in The Hague around 1652 and later founded a drawing academy there. He mingled with an elite circle of intellectuals

Condition: Fine. general age related toning. some light staining as visible on the scan, mostly in margins. A few small tears in paper edge.
