Made by ‘Antoine Benoist’ after ‘Blackey’. Antoine Benoist (Soissons; 1721–1770; London), was a French draughtsman and engraver. Early in life he was brought to England by Claude du Bosc, the engraver, and found employment as a teacher of drawing in many private families of the higher class.

Condition: Good, given age. Small tear in right margin, not effecting image. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
