Made by possibly Charles Errard after Anonymous.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
From: ‘Trattato della Pittura di Leonarde da Vinci […] Trattato della statua di Leon Battista Alberti […]’, by Rafaelle du Fresne, published by Langlois in Paris in 1651. Later ed. published in Naples, Francesco Ricciardo for Niccola & Vincenzo Rispoli, 1733. This plate appears to be from the 1651 ed. The plates in the 1733 ed. were re-engraved by Francesco Sesoni (Italian; active-1705-1733).
Biography engraver: Charles Errard is mentioned to have engraved in this work. We do not know if he is the engraver of this portrait. Charles Errard (1606-1689) was a French painter and engraver from Nantes. He worked in Rome. He became court painter to Louis XIV.
