This print shows a view of Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands, situated between Franeker and Dokkum. In the back we see the city with churches, mills and gateways to the city. In the front we see a woman with a baby, a couple with a basket and people walking. Below the print is a text in Dutch and Latin.

Condition: good, given age. Some brown spots. One wormhole in margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Pieter/ Petrus Schenk / Schenck the elder (1660-1711/1713), a very important German engraver and cartographer active in Amsterdam and Leipzig. One of his specialties was the mezzotint.
