An intricately engraved plate illustrating the fable “Le Lion et la Biche,” depicting a deer fleeing hunters and inadvertently seeking refuge in a lion’s den. Includes calligraphed text and ornamental motifs.
Made by Beauble after Guillaume Montfort.
