Condition: good, given age. Remains of paper tape and glue on reverse and front corners. Small hole in plate restored. Black spot on reverse. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

From a series: Gezichten in het Haagse Bos’, published 1637-1652 by Pieter Nolpe. This attractive print is a later impression, published in the 18th century.

Biography artist: Roelant Roghman (1627-1692) was most famous for his drawings of dutch castles made in 1647. He made several sets of etchings. One set was made in Germany of Tyrolean landscapes. Roghman was a friend of Rembrandt and his etchings scarse.
