Joh. Bugenhagen – This scarce original antique print depicts a portrait of Johannes Bugenhagen (1485 – 1558), also called Doctor Pomeranus by Martin Luther, he introduced the Protestant Reformation in the Duchy of Pomerania and Denmark in the 16th century.

Made by H. Pinhas after H. Holbein. Herman Hirsch Pinhas (German engraver; 1795-1844) worked in Kassel.

Condition: Good, given age. A few minor crinkles. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
