Biography engraver: Bernard Picart (1673-1733) was a renowned French engraver who settled in Amsterdam and became known for his refined and detailed portrait engravings. He contributed to many significant illustrated works, including religious and historical compendia.
Biography artist: Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599-1641), Flemish Baroque painter and court artist to Charles I of England. Known for his elegant and idealized royal portraiture that influenced English art for generations.
