Medium: Etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: circle with grapes (Italian paper).
Sheet size: 29 x 19.8 cm (11.42 x 7.8 inch). Image size: 27.5 x 17 cm. (10.83 x 6.69 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Creasing. Fold in lower and upper right corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This attractive print was published in ca 1640.
Biography engraver: Herman van Swanevelt (1600-1654) originated from Woerden, the Netherlands. He went to Italy around 1630 and was profoundly influenced by this trip. He is seen as one the maior Italianate artists from this period.
