James Charles Armytage (1802 or1820-1897) was an English engraver of the 19th century. He produced over 200 plates. Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (1802-1873) was and English painter, well known for his paintings of dogs and horses. However, his best known works are these statues: the lions on Trafalgar Square.
Condition: Very good, given age. A dampstain in the lower margin. Ghosting from previous matting. Remains of attachment to matting to the rear of the sheet. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
