Made by ‘Johann David Schleuen’ after ‘Daniel Chodowiecki’. Johann David Schleuen (1711 – 1771), German engraver. Daniel Chodowiecki (1726-1801) was the most popular German engraver, graphic artist, and illustrator of the 18th century. Of Polish and Huguenot ancestry, he spent most of his life in Berlin, where he was director of the Academy of Art.
Condition: Good, given age. A few minor creaes in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
