Description
(‘Birth of Hercules’), showing Alcmene who just gave birth on the right. She is surrounded by Hermes, and several other figures. The central figure in the print is Hercules himself, wearing the pel of the Nemean lion and leaning on his club. To the left Mercury brings the infant Hercules to Zeus.
