Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing and spotting in margins, especially bottom edge. Slight edge wear, otherwise bright and clean. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Printed by H.F. Plate, published by C. Gassmann, Hamburg in 1852. From: ‘Andenken an Hamburgs Alster.’ H.F. Plate was a prominent Hamburg-based lithographic printer active in the mid-19th century, known for high-quality chromolithographic cityscapes and landscapes.
Biography engraver: Christian Wilhelm Heuer (1813-1890) was a German Lithographer from Hamburg.
Biography artist: C. Gassmann was a Hamburg publisher and possibly designer of city views, active in the 19th century. Further biographical details are scarce.
