Gerard Edelinck (…) – This scarce original antique print depicts a portrait of Gerard Edelinck (1640 – 1707), a copper-plate engraver and print publisher of Flemish origin, who worked in Paris from 1666 and became a naturalized French citizen in 1675.

Published in France c. 1715.

Made by Pierre Dupin after Francois Tortebat. Pierre Dupin (1690 – 1751), French engraver. Francois Tortebat (1616-1690), French painter and etcher.

Condition: Very good, given age. Remnants of former attachment to carrier sheet on verso. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
