Biography engraver: Carl Remshard (1678-1735) was a German engraver active in Augsburg, known for his architectural and garden views. He collaborated with leading publishers like Jeremias Wolff and contributed to many topographical and ornamental engraving series in the early 18th century.
Biography artist: Matthias Diesel (1675-1752) was a German garden architect and draftsman. Trained as a gardener, he studied in France and became a key visual chronicler of Baroque garden design, particularly in Bavaria. His copper engravings, based on his drawings, offer some of the most detailed views of early 18th-century palace gardens in southern Germany.
