Description
This print shows the The Fran?ois-I Tower, which has now disappeared from the Le Havre landscape. For almost 350 years, the tower watched over the port and the city. A victim of the economic development of the port of Le Havre, it was finally destroyed on 15 October 1861. Nowadays, there is no trace of it, except for the memory maintained by the conservation of archival documents relating to its history. With ships in front.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Andre Durand.
