This attractive original old antique print / plate originates from: ‘Dictionnaire Classique des Sciences Naturelles …’ (Classic dictionary of natural sciences), by M. Drapiez. published in Brussels, 1853. This work elaborates on the work of Buffon, Daubenton, Lacepede, Cuvier, de Jussieu a.o. Artists and Engravers: Pierre Auguste Joseph Drapiez (1778-1856) was a Belgian naturalist. Engraved by Desmares.

Condition: Fine. General age related toning and occasional minimal light staining from handling as visible on image. This page has a heavier age related tone than most other pages we carry from this work.
