Antique print, titled: ‘Les Saisons’ – (‘The Seasons’) Study of children: three circular images. The first shows a putto with Carnival mask, holding a fan and a harlequin puppet. The second shows a putto holding up a partridge and a bow. The third is a Bacchic emblem, comprised of a Thyrsus, drum, mask and bunch of grapes. “Etudes d’ enfants, Applicables a la Composition de Sujets Decoratifs” by E. Meyer. Published in Brussels: E. Lyon-Claesen, 1892. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘E. Meyer’ after own design. We have been unable to find much about this artist. Given the style we date the activity around the turn of the nineteenth century. Possibly the portrait painter and lithographer Eduard Meyer (Berlin, 19th century).

Condition: Excellent, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
