Handcolored crayon style lithograph on wove (vellin) paper. on paper.

Size in cm: The overall size is ca. 45.6 x 31.5 cm. The image size is ca. 39 x 26 cm. Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 18 x 12.4 inch. The image size is ca. 15.4 x 10.2 inch.

Antique print, untitled. Study of children: three studies of ears and two putti. One runs while holding a baton. The other (with figleaf) leans on a cane. “Etudes d’ enfants, Applicables a la Composition de Sujets Decoratifs” by E. Meyer. Published in Brussels: E. Lyon-Claesen, 1892. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘E. Meyer’ after own design. We have been unable to find much about this artist. Given the style we date the activity around the turn of the nineteenth century. Possibly the portrait painter and lithographer Eduard Meyer (Berlin, 19th century).

Condition: Excellent, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
