Lithograph handcolored on Wove (velin) paper.
Sheet size: 39,6 x 29,4 cm. (15,6 x 11,6 inch). Image size: 36,8 x 24,2 cm. (14,5 x 9,5 inch).
Apparently this scene was used by the publisher for different themes and it appears it was copied after ‘Home To Thanksgiving’, which was lithographed by John Schutler, after George Henry Durrie (American; 1820-1863). George Durrie, nicknamed ‘the snowman,” was known for his peaceful and idealized snow scenes of New England. Ref: American Homestead Winter, 1868-1869

Condition: Good, given age. Paper loss at bottom right corner. Tear at top middle, not effecting image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
